Pride Celebrations with Middlesex ResidentsThis week at Aston House in Hayes, Residents and Colleagues have been celebrating pride at the care home.
 
It was an amazingly bright and colourful day, with smiles all around. All of the Residents said they had a fabulous day and spoke about the importance of equality and treating everybody with respect. Celebrations were in full swing with music, games, arts and crafts then topping it all off with a wonderful feast of food. A colourful range of fruit juices were also available for everybody to enjoy.
 
Many Residents gave their views on celebrating pride and highlighted how important of the celebrations were. Many of the Residents said, “Love is the most important thing”. Colleagues mentioned how fascinating it was to hear and watch them take part in the celebrations.
 
Raymond, a Resident at Aston House said, “Love is all we need” which is a beautiful sentiment and really expressed the general atmosphere of the home. Another Resident, Shelia mentioned how she really enjoyed watching people fall in love, “its just so beautiful” she went on to say.
 
Seema, the Home Manager said, “It was such a beautiful celebration, equality is the best way to reflect humanity”.
