Residents at HC-One’s The Polegate care home recently enjoyed a trip to the local beach at Eastbourne.
Everyone took a walk along the seafront as they enjoyed an ice cream in the sunshine whilst watching the sea, and then walked along the pier to visit a local café and enjoy a cream tea.
Residents enjoyed exploring around Eastbourne as they looked in various shops and discussed their favourite things about the beach. Some Residents even reminisced on the beach days of their youth as they went on holidays with family.
Emma Louise Rich-Spice, Home Manager, commented: “Residents have thoroughly enjoyed their trip today, it was nice for them to be able to discuss their past trips to the beach, as well as how the area has changed over time. We look forward to our next visit soon.”
