Residents, colleagues, families, and the wider Brize Norton community came together for a day filled with energy, music, and generosity at HC-One’s Brize Meadow Lodge Care Home.
The Bike-athon was organised to support colleague Iain Londesborough who is a Care Assistant and is running a half marathon this October in aid of Alzheimer’s UK. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Brize Meadow Lodge team, residents, families, and visitors, the event raised £254.41 whilst Iain also raised £500 on his own, which resulted in triple Iain’s original £250 fundraising target being fundraised – a fantastic achievement.
The day was packed with activity and community spirit. Guests enjoyed cycling challenges, a bustling tombola, and delicious refreshments, while live performances from Mae’s Melodies kept everyone entertained throughout.
This latest event follows a summer of joyful activities at Brize Meadow Lodge, including garden parties, music afternoons, and community gatherings. Looking ahead, the home is preparing a calendar of seasonal events to keep spirits high through the autumn and winter months.
Brize Meadow Lodge is part of HC-One, the UK’s kind care company, with over 280 homes nationwide. New residents are welcome to join the home and can currently take advantage of a special offer of 4 weeks for the price of 3 when moving in before 31st November 2025.
