At HC-One, we believe that caring for people means caring about what matters most to someone, taking the time to get to know each person individually so they can have the best quality of life.

By working with our professional partners, we support people together to make the most of each moment, every day.

Commissioning kind care

With care homes across England, Scotland and Wales, our national scale enables us to offer the very highest standards of residential, dementia and nursing care in a kind and caring environment, whether it be a short care break, a period of recovery after treatment in hospital, or a longer-term place to call home.

We are committed partners with provider groups, such as Care England, Scottish Care and Care Forum Wales, working with central and devolved Governments to help achieve fair settlements for providers and commissioners. We also support local Care Associations in their work to improve the voice of care providers in negotiations around service developments, quality assurance, cost of care exercises, training and partnership working.

Our national view is complimented by a personalised approach within each of our homes. We are proud to work closely with health and social care professionals in more than 100 local authorities and NHS bodies to ensure we are delivering the kindest possible care to older people in each of the communities we serve.

Our regional leadership teams work closely with HC-One’s subject matter experts, meaning we can mobilise rapidly to work collaboratively with local authority and NHS partners to understand their individual needs. Working with partners in this way has helped us to develop tailored, market-leading services, for example our specialist dementia care communities, and our hospital discharge and emergency assessment services.
