Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Crofton Springs Care Home, in Cheltenham, came together to celebrate the vibrant traditions of Indian culture in a joyful and engaging event that brought colour, connection, and cultural appreciation to the heart of the home.
The day began with an Indian-themed morning, featuring delicious traditional dishes that residents were delighted to sample. The home was transformed with beautiful decorations reflecting the rich colours and aesthetics of Indian heritage, as colleagues dressed in traditional Indian garments which added an immersive and festive atmosphere.
The Crofton Springs team and residents received an Indian food delivery that celebrated Indian cuisine. Highlight on the day included a lively Indian dancing and music, with a special touch as a colleague’s daughter filmed a traditional dance video, played for Marlene Walsh, who smiled brightly throughout.
Crofton Springs Care Assistant Zarana Dobariya added to the authenticity by offering intricate wedding-style henna designs for residents and colleagues.
