Aaron, a Resident at
Eastbank, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Shettleston, Glasgow, had a lovely time celebrating his 80th birthday surrounded by friends and family.
Aaron enjoyed celebrating his 80th birthday within the home where his family joined him for a party, Aaron was surprised with tickets to visit Ranger’s Football Club and a personalised letter wishing him happy birthday from Ranger’s Manager, Mike Beale. This was a wish Aaron had that he has now ticked off his bucket list!
Aaron enjoyed a karaoke party with friends and Colleagues.
The fantastic Chef, James baked Aaron a cake with a surprise, as Aaron cut into the cake the sponge revealed the colours green, gold and orange, the colours of his rival team Celtic! Aaron was shocked but found the funny side.
It was a wonderful birthday for Aaron, he remarked, “The has been the best birthday ever, all the Colleagues have done so much for me, they even bought me gifts! It was nice for them to arrange a party too.”
One of the Residents, said, “It was an excellent day, we had a celebration for Aaron the food was great, and Kath was great on the karaoke.”
Donnamarie Newman, Care Home Manager, commented, “Everyone in Eastbank got involved, it was lovely to see the excitement and smiles from the Residents. We wish Aaron a huge happy birthday!”
