On 25th April at The
Beeches care home, in Greater Manchester, which offers residential care, Resident Annie celebrated her 90th birthday.
Annie, pictured, enjoyed celebrating with friends at the home, and Colleagues arranged for an online singer to provide entertainment, who sang various songs including some songs for St George’s Day. The day continued with songs from her favourite group, the Bee Gees, as well as lots of cake and drinks.
There was also lots of reminiscence and family time for Annie as she enjoyed a video call with her daughter, and received some lovely gifts from her family, who live in Australia.
Some old photos were also brought in for Annie to look at, including family holidays and Annie and her husband with a motorbike and side car when the children were growing up. This really brightened her day, and she had a lovely time.
Sade Smith, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It’s been a pleasure to celebrate Annie’s 90th birthday. She was so happy with all her gifts and seeing all her old family photos.”
