A Christmas carol visit to Fir Trees care home from children in the local communityJust before Christmas, Fir Trees care home, in Dukinfield, were delighted with the fantastic visit by the second Dukinfield Beavers.  

On 9th December, the children from the group sang some Christmas Carols to Residents at the 44-bed residential and residential dementia care home. 

Everyone loved seeing the children, and the Residents all joined in with the singing too.

Jean, who lives at the home, said, “It was lovely to listen to the children sing.”

Fellow Resident Ron added, “I loved the way the children sang, they’ve put a lot of work into it.”

Shirley said, “This was an excellent evening. I hope they come to see us again.”

Nicole Gunning, Care Home Manager, commented, “Seeing our Residents so happy means everything to us at Fir Trees. Visits from groups in the community are very important for our Residents wellbeing, it really does lift their mood.”
