Colleagues at
Tenlands care home are always looking out for one another especially when it comes to the induction of new members on the team.
Andrea Berriman is a new Colleague at the 39-bed residential and residential dementia care home and has taken on the role of a Care Assistant.
Olwyn Gray who has worked at Tenlands for many years and has had lots of experience has buddied up with Andrea helping her with the induction to her new role.
Shadowing shifts have proved really helpful at the home as Colleagues can work together on learning new tasks and parts of the role.
Following Andreas three shadowing shifts she got Olwyn a lovely bouquet of flowers to thank her for all the help she had received.
Olwyn was overjoyed, she remarked, “I am really over the moon with the flowers, I never expected them at all.”
Jill Care, General Site Manager, commented, “I feel its time now to look forward to the future and go back to basics to ensure our new Colleagues have the best start in their careers.”
