On Thursday 9th March, there was a joint birthday celebration at
Millbrook care home, in Stalybridge, Tameside, as two Residents both celebrated their birthdays together.
Hilda and Irene, who both live at the 46-bed residential care home, celebrated their 99th birthdays with a grand party, which included a music karaoke activity.
Requests were taken from the birthday girls; with Irene choosing some modern music for a change.
In the afternoon, a buffet was served and lots of cake.
Everybody enjoyed the party, many danced, sang and had cocktails and plenty of nibbles.
Irene and Hilda both agreed that they had a wonderful day celebrating and the cake was lovely too!
Claire Jones, Care Home Manager, commented, “The Residents and staff are making the most of our new karaoke machine (me included), although my singing may be terrible. We’ve all had a lovely week celebrating Irene and Hilda’s birthdays.”
