A fantastic 4-day Platinum Jubilee weekend for Ashton ResidentsOver the extended bank holiday weekend, Bristol’s Amerind Grove nursing and dementia care home have been making the most of the events with lots of decorations and activities for Residents to enjoy.

Residents have been making decorations for the unit with Colleagues and looking at pictures of the Queen throughout her 70 years on the throne.

There have been plenty of singalong and a quiz too.

People also had the option of watching the trooping of the colours and the church service on the television.

On Friday 3rd June, Colleagues organised for some entertainment, as well as a budget tea, consisting of ‘royal-style’ food and fancy cakes to end the special day.

Residents said they felt proud and patriotic all weekend.

Kay Morrison, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It as a brilliant weekend for all involved and the Residents loved the activities.”
