Residents and Colleagues are enjoying a pancake-flipping competition today over at HC-One’s The Moat House care home in Great Easton, Essex.
They held two separate competitions; one for Residents and one for Colleagues. Everyone was challenged to flip and catch a pancake as many times as they could.
Resident Rosemary Petchey proved to be an expert pancake flipper when she managed to complete an outstanding 16 tosses in a row, while Colleague Marta won the staff competition.
After losing several pancakes to the floor, The Moat House Chef, Julie, whipped up her best batch of pancakes for Residents to tuck into for their lunch.
The Moat House Home Manager, Noreen Adkin, said: “The activity has really lifted the spirits of all the Residents and Colleagues. I didn’t realise everyone was so competitive!”
