A good Ashgrove workout for care home ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Dudley nursing and residential dementia care home, Ashgrove, had their first workout session on 1st December.

Instructor James set up in the garden and Colleagues opened the doors and windows so Residents could watch and follow his exercise lead.

They did armchair star jumps, arm and leg exercises and even some ball exercises, everyone had lots of fun!

One of the Residents said, “How much fun was that!”

There was so much general laughter all round and the interaction was wonderful from beginning to end.

Peter Turner, who lives at Ashgrove, commented, “What a good day to work up an appetite.”

Fellow Resident Betty added, “After my dinner I need a good sleep!”

Colleague Lauren remarked, “How lovely to see the Residents have fun! Colleagues demonstrated the exercises and encouraged Residents. It was just wonderful!”
