A Halloween party to remember at Sunderland care homeResidents at Falstone Court care home in Roker, Sunderland were excited for a spooky party to celebrate Halloween on the 31st of October.

Every year at the 40-bed residential dementia care home, Colleagues try their best to make it the best Halloween party the home has ever seen.

There was some fantastic entertainment, and we don’t mean the Colleagues dance moves…

Mike Lee, a singer who the Residents love, came to perform at the party. He always looks forward to coming to the care home as the Residents love a sing and dance. Its always a great atmosphere.

Mike had a great time, he remarked, “I had a lovely time and looking forward to coming back soon!”

Residents enjoyed a Halloween potion, a cocktail made by the fantastic kitchen team. They prepared a lovely buffet who pulled out all the stops for the party.

The home was decorated and both Colleagues and Residents were dressed up. Everyone looked great and it was very spooky!

Julie Merritt, Care Home Manager, said, “What a fantastic time all the Residents had. The party was very well organised and enjoyable for all.”
