Resident Pauline had lived at Lyndon Hall care home in Sandwell, for around a year and she has now recently returned home. There were some very mixed emotions on saying goodbye to Pauline.
Following a stroke last year, Pauline was discharged from hospital and into Lyndon Hall care home. On admission, Pauline was unable to walk, eat properly and she was very low in mood. But through sheer determination, care from Colleagues and loved ones, Pauline started to walk, eat normal foods and talk again.
A meeting was recently held and a date set for this wonderful lady to go home!
Colleagues held a party for Pauline and she was waved off with a lot of happy tears on her new journey.
One Resident said, “Pauline was always cheerful, chatty and cheeky!”
Home Manager, Julie Hurst, commented, “Pauline was the life and soul of the home. Encouraged other residents and made everyone laugh. She had an enormous heart.”
