The ladies of The Polegate, nursing care home in Eastbourne requested a trip to the theatre.
After one event got cancelled in September, Sheila and Hazel they were desperate for this outing. Along with Colleagues Laura and Diane, they all went together.
Many brochures were collected from all the theatres in the area and spent an afternoon going through them looking at the different shows to find the one which was perfect for both Sheila and Hazel.
There were lots of different productions and it was a tough choice between Swan Lake the ballet and 42nd Street. In the end, Sheila and Hazel voted for 42nd Street.
Hazel and Sheila absolutely loved it, the show was put on by a local group called The Rattonians who's singing, and dancing was astonishing.
A fantastic afternoon was had by all. Both ladies enjoyed getting out and about as going to the theatre is something they have both enjoyed in their younger years.
Both Sheila and Hazel, said, “The tubs of ice cream in the interval reminds me of past trips to see shows in London when we were younger.”
Laura and Diane, both had a lovely day out with Sheila and Hazel, they remarked, “What fun it is to make these ladies feel special for the day.”
