Victoria Gardens care home, which is located just outside Coventry and provides residential care, has hosted its own awards ceremony to give Colleagues and Residents something to really celebrate.
The theme of the evening was ‘The Globes’, which meant there were sparkles everywhere, and the staff really made an effort to dress to impress. The Residents commented that it was ‘fantastic to see the staff dressed up in so much glitter!”
Throughout the evening awards were presented to Residents and Colleagues in various categories, which provided a lot of entertainment and fun to all involved.
To celebrate the evening there was a buffet, a live singer and plenty of prosecco - plus some special guests.
A special part of the evening was when Resident Pat’s husband, Arthur, and Andy, a Resident at Victoria Gardens sang a song together, and everyone in the room joined in.
The awards night was a total hit with colleagues and Residents alike, with one of the Residents even saying: “This is the best night I’ve had since I was 18 years old!”
The prosecco was flowing and the tunes were playing, and everyone at Victoria Gardens has requested that Kayleigh comes back to perform for them all again.
Julie, the Home Manager said: “Kayleigh’s performance was fantastic, and all of the Residents and staff thought she was great. We had a sing along and dancing taking place well into the evening.”
Julie continued: “Everybody so deserved this night, we have had a tricky 18 months but it is wonderful to come out the other side. Well done everyone!”
