A Royal thank you for Hartford CourtResidents at Hartford Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Cramlington, were very excited to receive a very special letter through the post.

As part of the arts and crafts club at Hartford Court, the Residents were very keen to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Residents made cards to send to Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth to congratulate her on this momentous occasion.

A couple weeks after the Jubilee celebrations, Hartford Court received a very special letter through the door.

The envelope in the post came directly form Buckingham Palace, it included a lovely thank you card from the Queen along with a letter from her Lady-in-Waiting.

It was amazing and the Residents were so excited to receive this letter. They were so happy the Queen has received all of their cards.

Anne Woods, a Resident, remarked, “The Queen is such a lovely lady and works so hard for us. I am pleased she had a lovely day, and she received our cards.”

The staff, commented, “This is fantastic, receiving the letter and card from The Queen has lifted the spirits of our Residents and staff.”

The card and letter are to be framed and displayed for all the Residents and guests to see.
