Residents enjoyed making Scottish-themed arts and crafts today for Burns Night at HC-One’s Hebburn Court care home in Tyne and Wear.
They spent the day making Scottish flags, Burns Night decorations and even wrote their own poetry influenced by Robert Burns.
After a busy day of art, Residents settled down for their dinner – haggis, neeps and tatties or, for those who haven’t acquired the taste, a delicious pie.
Marion Driver, a Resident at the home, commented: “The food was lovely and I sent my flag to my Scottish family.”
After a filling meal, Residents relaxed in the lounge as they read their poetry to one another and showed off their flags and decorations in a display.
