A visit from KL Ponies at Pontefract care home

Residents at HC-One’s Priory Gardens, residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Pontefract, had recently had some furry friends pay a visit.

The Residents were very excited to find out, KL Ponies were coming to pay a visit to the home!

Sunshine the pony and Katy the handler brought smiles to the faces of both the Residents and staff.

Animal therapy is such a wonderful activity for the Residents.

One Residents had such a fantastic day, she remarked, “How wonderful to be able to stroke a pony, she’s so lovely!” Another Resident, said, “Oh wow! It’s like the pit pony I had years ago.”

Allison Gill, Care Home Manager, added, “Animal therapy is such an important activity which benefits all our Residents.”
