Aberford Hall had some very special visitorsResidents at Aberford Hall, nursing care home, in Leeds, were very excited for a visit from some special animals.

Wise Owls paid a visit to Aberford Hall, and they brought along lots of different birds for the Residents to see.

There were birds of various breeds and sizes, from a Tawney Owl and a Harris Hawk called Storm.

One Resident, commented, “What beautiful, majestic birds!”

The Residents loved holding the birds and seeing them fly between them all to get food.

It was a great way for the Residents to interact with the birds and each other. It is great mental stimulation for them all. They all had a lovely afternoon.

Beverley Deplacido, Care Home Manager, remarked, “The Residents had such a great afternoon, and it was such a fun and unique activity.”
