Residents at HC-One’s Adelaide House care home enjoyed a cheese and wine event that turned into a wedding anniversary party with a royal flavour.
While her fellow Residents at the 29-bed residential and nursing care home tucked into six varieties of cheese and a choice of white, red and rosé wine, Ann Todd celebrated her diamond wedding anniversary with a card from King Charles and Queen Camilla.
And as well as enjoying the delicious food and drinks on offer, Residents and Colleagues sang along to classic hits from the 1970s.
Ann commented: “I had a fun time singing songs while celebrating with a nice glass of wine.”
Another Resident reported: “I enjoyed the cheese and wine. It’s really nice to get out into our lounge and participate in events like this”.
Meanwhile another Resident said: “I had a lovely time singing songs, chatting and posing for pictures while having a nice glass of wine. I also had a chance to introduce myself to other residents who joined the event”.
Fiona Hewitt, Care Home Manager, said: “This was a really joyous occasion, brilliantly organised by the team here. The Residents really enjoyed sampling different cheese and wine selections, and helping Ann celebrate her diamond wedding anniversary made it extra special.”
