One of the Residents at HC-One’s White Gables nursing home, in Skellingthorpe, has raised money for Red Nose Day.
The Resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has walked as many laps as he could, around the outside of the building from Monday 15th to Friday 19th March.
Katherine Trevor, White Gables Colleague and training partner, commented, “Considering he has multiple heart stents and insulin-controlled diabetes, as well as a couple of strokes, he set himself quite a challenge!”
The distance around the home is just under one third of a kilometre and the mystery Resident managed 18 laps totalling over a kilometre a day.
Including the practise tries last week, he has managed over 12 kilometres in two weeks which is a fantastic achievement!
Katherine added, “We all think he has done amazingly. He will have raised nearly £80 for comic relief when all donations are in.”
