April Park care home, which provides residential care a range of different activities taking place on the 1
st July 2022 and Colleagues have been preparing for the open day.
Care Home Open Week is a little different this year with the activities across the nation taking part over a week, as opposed to just one day as with previous years. It is hosted by Championing Social Care, a volunteer-led group with the aim of ensuring public understanding, appreciation, and respect for social care.
The home has arranged for Ace Pet Encounter Mobile Zoo to come in for guests to get close to some wonderful animals that they have. Later in the day local entertainers ‘Jolly Jingles’ to come out and play some music between 3-4pm and there will also be a Punch & Judy show and a magician performance throughout the day to watch.
Speaking with some Residents, many had mentioned they were excited for the mobile zoo to come into the home and were looking forward to the day in general.
Christine, the Home Manager commented “We are hoping for a fun and exciting day for our Residents and guests”.
