Ashbourne Lodge care home celebrate the JubileeIn order to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, Residents at Ashbourne Lodge threw a huge Jubilee party.

The whole home was decorated for the party. There was lots of bunting, Union Jacks, and decoration in blue, white and red. 
Residents and families were invited along to the party, and for some great fun.

Julie, the Home Administrator was just as excited as the Residents to celebrate such a fantastic occasion, she made the party as big as possible. Julie even dressed up as the Queen to hand out invitations and sing to the Residents. Some of the Resident even thought Julie was the real Queen.”

There was lots of delicious party food, made by the fantastic kitchen staff. Some of the Residents even had a little tipple of wine to celebrate.

As well as the singing performance from the Queen, the Residents played a game of Jubilee bingo, and they all won a special prize. They also played a game of ‘ring on the bottle’ which everyone enjoyed.

The Residents had such a brilliant day, Home Manager Punam Randhawa, said, “It is one of the best days I have had.”

Colleague Amanda Carr, commented, “Julie went above and beyond for this party, and I laughed from coming into work till leaving. Well done, Julie!”

All the Residents were super happy and all we able to win a prize. The staff at Ashbourne Lodge went out of their way to make everyone feel like a winner.
