Colleagues at Ashington Grange care home, which offers residential memory, nursing and nursing memory care for those living with dementia, decided to treat their Residents to something very special.
Wanting to give them a lovely mini break, Colleagues booked a caravan in Sandy Bay!
Residents and Colleagues had a fabulous time by the beach, enjoying a chip shop meal and afternoon tea and cake.
Those involved in organising the break said it was so fun to chat with Residents about all the holidays they had when they were younger.
For many, the caravan brought back happy memories reminding them of when they used to go on holiday with their children.
Enjoying the lovely hot weather, Residents loved playing dominos and bingo, singing to music, doing puzzles and going for many walks for ice cream.
One Resident said: “We loved every minute and hope to be returning soon!”
