Prior to lockdown all Residents at
Ashton Grange residential care and residential memory care home, in Sunderland, were asked for three wishes during lockdown. Now Colleagues are doing what they can to make these wishes come true.
As restrictions for Residents have eased nationwide, and with having had no hairdressers in the home for a number of months, Colleagues took three ladies to do just that. Their wish was to sit in a hairdresser and get pampered.
Colleagues booked a local hair salon close to the home and Residents, including Margaret, Isabelle and Doreen, spent the morning without a care in the world.
Everyone loved getting dressed up. Isabelle Dickenson, who lives at Ashton Grange, said, “I feel like a million dollars!”
Sara, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “It was great to be able to get out again with the residents and fulfil the wish lists.”
