Resident Vera Birch (pictured) celebrated her 100th birthday this month at
Daisy Nook care home, in Tameside, Greater Manchester.
On Thursday 16th March, Vera was thrown a party at the 40-bed residential and residential dementia care home, with all her family, friends, fellow Residents and Colleagues. And what a great day it was!
One of the best aspects of the day was when Vera received a card from the King and Queen Consort. This has been put in a frame that will be hung up for all to see, she was very proud.
Wayne Jones, Care Home Manager, commented, “We all raised a glass and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Vera. She had a lovely day filled with laughter, fun and her loved ones. And to see a card from the new King and Queen Consort such a brilliant way to top off a great day!”
