Residents were very excited to be celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee over the bank holiday weekend.
Lots of things were going on in the home, Residents were keen to get involved.
The Residents had masks of the Queens face and some of the staff were wearing them whilst lunch was served. It was lovely, and the Resident has a laugh as there were so many Queens in one room!
Everyone enjoyed nibbles and refreshments. The chefs made some delicious scones with jam and cream along with a huge buffet of lots of different treats.
There was a large cut out of the Queen and Residents look it in turn to take a photo with Her Majesty.
Winn, a Resident of Balcarres, commented, “I remember the day the coronation the Queen is only a few months older than me.”
Residents had such a fantastic day, Lynn McLean, Care Home Manager, remarked, “The Residents certainly love a good party and a dance.”
