Beach party at the MillbrookWith the weather getting a little warmer, and HC-One homes busy with summer events, The Millbrook care home, which offers residential care, had to get on board and hosted a beach party for the Residents.

On 23rd May, everyone at the home got together for a beach party, which included all sorts of wonderful activities including a Tiki Bar which was built by Maintenance Operative, Andy, which provided cocktails of Pimm’s, sangria and a ‘Black Eyed Susan’ (consisting of vodka and orange juice). The bar was decorated by Colleagues and then refreshments, sandwiches and a fruit platter were served from it.

Residents also had a surprise visit from Red, a donkey from the local donkey sanctuary, which was arranged by one of the Residents’ lovely family members, (the Baxters), who also attended the party.

Many Relatives joined for the day of celebrations and described it as, “The perfect warm up for the Jubilee celebrations!”

Trevor and John, who both live at the home, commented that they loved the Tiki Bar

Claire Jones, Care Home Manager, said, “It was lovely bringing all our Residents and family members together.”
