Beautiful flowers gifted by local charity to Market Lavington ResidentsA local charity, The Nestling Trust, visited Market Lavington this week, in Devizes, Wiltshire, with a beautiful donation of cyclamens, all in different colours for Residents.

Nestling Trust, who are also based in Devizes and whose aim is to raise money to provide medical care and health education to remote villages in Nepal, wanted to bring colour and happiness to Residents (and they certainly did that.)

Residents of the 80-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home were so grateful to receive their own potted plant which they said they would nurture and care for, especially now the weather is taking a turn for the worst and Residents aren’t able to get out into the garden as often as they would like.

Julia Bradley said, “How beautiful, look at all the colours!”

Fellow Resident Sheila Prince added, “It will add a lovely bit of colour to my windowsill.”

The gift of flowers always puts a smile on everyone’s faces, see pictured Rona Bushell.

Michaela Powell, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It’s very kind of the Nestling Trust to donate these plants, it has brightened up some of our Residents and really made their day!”

“It’s always so rewarding to see the smiles on our Residents’ faces when they receive a gift, especially a gift of kindness.”
