Best friends reunite at County Durham care homeTwo best friends have been reunited over dinner after a few weeks apart at HC-One’s Melbury Court care home.

Mary Brunskill had been isolating for two weeks after a short hospital stay.

She had missed her friend, Pam Hampton, dearly so upon her return to normal life at the care home, Home Manager Hazel Southern organised a private dinner for the two lovely ladies to catch up with each other.

She organised a three-course meal cooked by Finbarr’s restaurant in Durham, served with bubbly, crystal-cut glasses and candles.

Mary commented: “I love the effort everyone’s made.

“It’s such a wonderful idea to have dinner for just the two of us.”

Pam and Mary both dressed up for the occasion and spent a lovely evening together catching up with each other after weeks apart.

Ordering food from Pam’s favourite restaurant was the perfect way for the two best friends to spend some quality time together.

Melbury Court Home Manager, Hazel Southern, said: “It was so wonderful to see them both dress up for the occasion and smile together.”
