Bingo with a twist at Fullarton care homeResidents at Fullarton, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Ayrshire, have celebrated Chinese New Year with a special game of bingo.

Residents on the Cedars Floor had fun playing several games of bingo with a difference. Instead of calling out the regular numbers the boards very full of the Chinese Zodiac Signs.

This proved to be slightly harder for the Residents as they were not sure on some of the animals, but it made for a few laughs and a good afternoon.

One Resident, commented, “I have never played bingo like this before, I am sad we need to wait a year to play it again!”

Residents spoke about Chinese New Year traditions and what their favourite type of Chinese food was.

Residents finished the afternoon off with a cup of tea and some cake, after agreeing it was such a fun activity. The Residents were also looking forward to their dinner, lots of Chinese food to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Charlotte Beaumont, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Good fun had by everyone, so well done to the organisers.”
