Bonfire Night, flower arranging and balloon games at Cambridge care homeThe Cambridge care home have had a very busy November with many organised activities and celebrations for the Residents.

Firstly, was The Cambridge’s Bonfire Night Spectacular. On November the 5th Residents enjoyed watching the fireworks, with the brightly coloured displays.

There was also some lovely food which was provided for both Colleagues and Residents including Michael Metcalfe and Herbert May, who thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Some of the Residents shared this magical moment with their loved ones via video calls.

Donna Mobey, Home Manager, remarked, “This was such a lovely event, our Residents were really happy with everyone’s effort. There were smiles around all night.”

One of the activities that has proven very popular at the home recently is ‘Music and Balloons’. Residents including Margaret, Michael, Iris, Grace and Sheila really enjoyed playing the balloon game, which does get very competitive, trying to keep the balloon up in the air.

Other Residents enjoy a little sing-along in the background.

Grace Sewell, Resident, commented, “I've had a lovely afternoon with lots of laugh. I'm shattered now!”

Donna added, “It's great to see our Residents having fun and keeping active.”

The last activity from today’s news story is when some Residents decided that they would like to arrange some flowers around the home.

Iris Lloyd, Grace Sewell, Barbara Scoble, Oriole Craven and Jeanne Dain all loved catching up while organising some lovely arrangements. They had a fun time getting creative and imaginative; see pictured.

Donna commented, “It was lovely for our Residents to have a natter with their friends and catch up.”
