Amber, a Colleague at HC-One’s Elmwood House Care Home in Boston, faced many people’s worst fear as she bravely took on a sky dive in order to help raise funds for the home to purchase an Interactive Table for Residents.
On the day of the sky dive, Amber was particularly excited as she had the support of her fellow Colleagues, partner and friends. The weather also helped her remain positive as it was warm and sunny with minimal wind.
A fantastic day was had by all who attended the skydive, with Residents later watching a video of the event and remarking at how proud of Amber they were.
Home Manager, Tracey Klue, commented: “We are so proud of Amber and how dedicated she has been to this, she has raised a fantastic sum for the home’s fund!”
In total, Amber was able to raise a fantastic sum of £1,200, with Colleagues and Relatives helping to sponsor her sky dive. She is also hoping to undertake another skydive in the future, with the aim to raise more funds for the home.
Set within the wider setting of Park Place, a private, age-exclusive, independent village in Boston, Lincolnshire, Elmwood House is a beautiful, 48 bed care home that offers residential and nursing care.
