Bradpole care home Residents receive royal letter

When it was the Queen’s birthday, Residents at St James Park residential and nursing care home, in Bridport, made a special card to send to Her Majesty and recently they received a little something back…

The card was sent and everyone was very happy that they could play a small part in the special day. So, imagine everyone’s surprise when they received a really gracious reply, on Balmoral Castle headed paper, to say ‘thank you’ signed by a lady in waiting. 

All the Residents who helped make the card have a copy of the letter and the original is in pride of place, displayed on the activity noticeboard.

Residents were really pleased to have a reply and were particularly impressed with the headed paper.

Home Manager, Gordon Collins, remarked, “Residents loved getting a reply from the Queen!”
