One of the short-stay Residents at
Brompton House nursing and residential care home, in Broadway, was over the moon to be able to attend her daughter’s wedding.
Colleagues including Martin, Louisa and Kate made sure that on the day of the wedding, Resident Jackie wore her best dress and she has had the most beautiful make-up too.
The home’s in-house hairdresser attended to Jackie first thing in the morning and she was ready to travel 130 miles in the home’s mini bus to the wedding.
Her daughter felt overvalued when she saw her sitting in a first row and all guests were very pleased to see her attending the ceremony.
Everyone was understanding regarding infection control and social distancing.
Jackie’s daughter commented, “It was the most wonderful moment being able to see mum attending my special day.”
Jinu Thomas, Home Manager, commented, “As a Care Home, we do not only care for our Residents but also for their loved ones and what a magical day for all.”
