On 22nd December, one lucky Resident at
Brooklands residential, nursing and memory care home, in Grimsby, won the Christmas raffle!
Colleagues had been putting raffle prizes together to raise money for Residents to have extra treats throughout Christmas.
Area Director, Margaret Barton, often visits the home and likes to chat to Residents, including Ian Overend (pictured). On one of Margaret’s visits, she saw the raffle and bought tickets.
Later when the raffle was drawn, Margaret found out that she won and donated her prize to Ian who always loves to see her on her visits.
On winning the prize, Ian was so excited and has made a thank you card for her.
Catherine Brooks, Care Home Manager, commented, “What a lovely gesture from Margaret, and Ian was over the moon!”
