Busy Resident helps out at Greater Manchester care homeLike all HC-One homes, the Beeches residential care home, in Dukinfield, encourage Residents to keep their independence and do things they enjoy and this was no exception for Norah who loves to help out.

Norah, who lives at the Beeches, enjoys helping the staff doing cleaning jobs round the home. To help keep her busy, she has been helping the housekeeping team prepare vacant rooms. She has enjoyed herself and it’s kept her busy while she isn’t able to get out as much at the moment.

Norah enjoyed making the rooms look nice for new Residents and said, “First impressions are important, if the room looks homely then the person will feel settled. That’s how I felt.”

Sade Smith, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It’s nice to keep the Residents busy, Norah enjoys helping the staff and has little jobs to do daily which keeps her active and her independence. She made the rooms look beautiful ready for our new Residents.”
