Cakes galore at Fir Trees care homeA very successful cake sale this month at HC-One’s Fir Trees care home, in Dukinfield, has helped to raise funds for the home’s activity fund.

Activity Coordinator Karolina organised a cake sale on 30th September, and Colleagues all got involved by making some delicious cakes.

Senior Sarah made some delicious cake trays, which went down a treat as Relatives and Residents joined to have a good catch up with a coffee and a cake. She said, “It’s so lovely to see all the families joining in.”

The cakes went down quickly and in total the home raised over £300 for the Residents activity fund, as well as achieving a great day willed with lots of laughter.

Pam, who is a Relative at the 44-bed residential and residential dementia care home, commented, “Amazing cakes for a great cause, I will always come and support you guys, you looked after my dad, and I can’t thank you enough”

Activity Coordinator Karolina said, “I was very overwhelmed with the support received from everybody. It was a great day for us all. Definitely need to do it again!”
