Cambridge Resident enjoys 101st Birthday celebrationThis month at The Red House in Huntingdon, which provide residential, nursing, residential dementia, and nursing dementia care, one Resident has celebrated his 101st birthday.

Mr Reinhold Daum, who likes to be known as Ron, was born in 1920 who now resides in the Ramsey Unit at The Red House and has reached the grand old age of 101. Ron was originally born in Poland but relocated over to England after the second World War. He worked for 33 years as a milk man which he very much enjoyed doing.

Ron’s birthday was celebrated with a visit from his family and of course, a big slice of birthday cake as he is not shy on how much he likes his food! Ron went on to say how much he enjoys living at The Red House, as he gets everything he could have ever wished for. He says the staff are lovely and affectionately calls his angles. He said “I’ve had a wonderful birthday, thank you to all the staff. It was lovely to see my family on a day like this”.

Katie, the Home Manager commented “What a lovely day, lots of smiles and cheering. Great interaction from the team and the Relatives of Reinhold”.

Big Happy Birthday to Ron from all the staff at The Red House.

Happy Birthday Ron!
