Today at
Barnby Court in Retford, which provides residential care and residential dementia care, staff have been presented a RISE award.
‘Recognising Inspirational Staff Endeavours” or RISE for short, is an award presented to all the staff at Barnby Court for their inspirational efforts throughout the global pandemic. Tissue Viability, the company who are arranged this, sent former carer Shawn Hurst, to Barnby Court to bestow the award. He said, “With great honour I present this to you, for your continued hard work during this high-pressured time, for your efforts in Continued Pressure Ulcer Prevention”.
Shawn also brought by a congratulations balloon and some chocolates for the staff. Colleagues didn’t have too much time to celebrate but held a quick staff meeting, where they enjoyed a nice cup of tea and the prized chocolates.
Margaret, the Home Manager said, “Its fantastic the staff here at Barnby Court have been recognised for all of their hard work over the past couple of years”.
