Resident at
Croft Avenue, residential care home, in Penrith, have recently been baking treats for all the Residents and staff.
Wellbeing Coordinator, Coral Bird, planned a baking activity for the Residents, 5 chose to take part.
Everyone was given the opportunity to weigh out ingredients, add ingredients to the bowl and help combine the ingredients together.
Resident, Elaine preferred to keep everyone on track by reading out the recipe to everyone.
All the Residents had a go at rolling out the cookie dough and using the cookie cutters, which they all agreed was the best part, then they were baked by the chef.
Residents, Doreen and Ida, said, “We really enjoyed the baking session, and we are looking forward to the next one.”
Care Home Manager, Teresa Mcguiness, added, “It was lovely to see our Residents enjoying some activities again. Well done Coral for organising it.”
