Residents and Colleagues enjoyed a socially distanced sing-a-long at HC-One’s Grey Ferrers care home in Braunstone, Leicestershire.
Receptionist Jade Kenney didn’t want Residents going without entertainment over the Christmas period so she organised an afternoon of outdoor karaoke for anyone at the home willing to brave the cold.
Daring Residents and Staff all took part and sang Christmas songs, including Jade who overcame her stage fright to entertain everyone.
And for those who wanted to stay inside could enjoy the music from the open patio doors and windows while they nursed a warm drink.
Resident Mary Izzard even dressed for the occasion in her festive Christmas tree hat.
Some Residents’ families even drove into the car park to enjoy the event from the warmth of their car.
Grey Ferrers Home Manager, Holly Smedley, said: “It really was lovely of Jade to provide these Christmas festivities for our ladies and gents.
“She overcame her fear of singing in front of people in aid of creating something special for the Residents, staff and their families.
“Neighbours from the surrounding houses also had their windows open and were clapping along – Really nice community event.”
