Residents at
Riverside View, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Dundee have been taking part in many festive activities on the lead up to Christmas.
Residents showed off their artistic skills whilst participating in Christmas card making. The Residents who took part in the Christmas card making sent the cards out to their families and loved ones.
Also, Residents enjoyed a Christmas party. They enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies whilst playing games like ‘pass the parcel’ where Residents won personalised Riverside View Christmas mugs.
One Resident, commented, “I loved making the cards to send home it was a nice personal touch. I also danced so much I was in my bed sleeping by 8pm, I had so much fun.”
Another Resident, said, “Mulled wine isn’t always my cup of tea but at Christmas it just makes it more magical.”
Sam Brown, Care Home Manager, added, “The Residents have certainly impressed us with card making skills and creativity. It is a pleasure to see the Residents actively engaging in the activities and have so much fun with it. The Christmas party was also a nice chance for everyone to unwind and enjoy themselves.”
