Residents at
The Harefield care home in Uxbridge enjoyed their Christmas dinner at the local St. Mary’s Church this year.
The Harefield has always had a good relationship with the local village church, St Mary’s. Residents have been visiting the church each week for their Wednesday service. The Residents were absolutely delighted to hear that they had been invited back on Christmas Day for their special Christmas meal.
James Linton, Wellbeing Coordinator at The Harefield and Head Housekeeper, Nimisha Patel, took Residents Patricia and Peter for a lovely afternoon of good company and delicious home cooked food. They had roast turkey will al the trimmings, pulled crackers, played charades and enjoyed laugher with a great group of people.
James and Nimisha mentioned how Vicar Martin Davis was a great host who made everybody feel welcome. St. Mary’s has also been Patricia’s local church throughout her life, and she thoroughly enjoyed spending Christmas with her old friends.
Rebekah, Home Manager at The Harefield went on to say, “I am so grateful that the church afforded us this opportunity, it has made such a difference for our Residents”.
