Throughout September at
Priorslee House in Shropshire, which will provide residential and residential memory care, Colleagues have been getting out and around the local community to introduce themselves and engaging in an event to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Colleagues Soni Atwal, Anita Horton and Lucy Gray have been visiting local community hubs, GP practices, golf courses and even a couple of local pubs! The aim was to just introduce themselves and raise awareness of the impending opening of the care home.
Later in the month, the trio also took part in a 150-mile walking challenge for World Alzheimer’s Month to support close charities Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Taking part in this challenge means a lot to the staff at Priorslee, as well as Residents, Relatives and visitors.
Anita Horton, the Home Manager said, “it’s been a pleasure to be able to connect with our community and neighbours here in Priorslee, we have been amazed with how many people are already aware of Priorslee House”.
