Community kindness celebrated at Glasgow care homeHC-One’s Quayside care home Yoker, Glasgow is celebrating the kindness of local lady, Mary Agbo, who has recently donated one hundred crochet butterflies for Residents along with a heartfelt letter.

Mary was a regular visitor to Quayside prior to COVID-19 restrictions, throughout the last year she has kept in touch and sent lovely gifts for the Residents of the care home. Previously, she has gifted homemade ‘thinking of you’ hearts, shawls and knee wraps.

Her most recent gift was a collection of butterflies with an accompanying letter stating that they are a sign of peace and hope. Residents at Quayside were delighted with Mary’s thoughtful donation, they asked the team to arrange a thank you card and gift to be sent to Mary as a token of their appreciation.

Quayside Resident, Nancy said: “How kind, it’s lovely to know that people are thinking of us.”

Quayside Home Manager, Liz Campbell said: “We continue to be blown away by the generosity and kindness of our local community, everyone at Quayside is looking forward to the day we can open our doors to lovely people like Mary once again.”
