This month at
Ash Grange in Walsall, which provides residential and nursing care, Residents and Colleagues have been celebrating Diwali.
To celebrate Diwali Day at Ash Grange this year, Colleagues and Residents have put up some lovely decorations, they also have been listening to music and some Colleagues did some traditional dancing with the Residents. Colleagues also showed off some of their jewellery that they were wearing which Residents really enjoyed looking at. At dinner time, a hot and cold buffet was set up for everybody to enjoy.
One Resident commented, “I really loved the jewellery, it was so fancy” and Mrs Hands, another Resident said, “I’ve never seen jewellery like that before, it was beautiful”. Deborah, the Wellbeing Coordinator commented afterwards about how the Residents really enjoyed seeing the dancing.
Danielle, the Home Manager went on to say, “Its really nice to see our Residents getting involved in celebrating Diwali”.
