Margaret, one of the Resident at
Douglas View, in Hamilton, took a trip to the local football club along with the Wellbeing Team.
On the 19th April, Margaret had a lovely trip to Hamilton Accies football club.
Margaret got chatting to the groundsman from the club and was telling him how her husband was a huge fan of the football club and had many fond memories when they used to attend the club together.
The groundsman asked Margaret if she wanted to come along to the club for a tour and relive some of her old memories. There were players training in the grounds at the time and it was all very exciting. Some of the players came over and chatted with Margaret about their upcoming games.
Margaret had a lovely time and was so excited to tell her son about the day she had.
It was a lovely day out and Margaret, said, “Thank you for today, I absolutely loved it. It has been a wonderful day.”
Louise Fulton, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Margaret had such a lovely day and it was great for her to get a guided tour of the football club and watch the players practice.”
